Application at Hetzner in Germany, AI at IONOS in Germany — chat data never goes to a US provider. A data processing agreement on every plan, concluded online during setup. Data export and deletion, encrypted backups with a German provider, support in German.
Per Crisp, messages are stored in the Netherlands; relay servers in other regions only store connection logs. Both vendors therefore operate in the EU — the difference is the German location and support in German.

To be fair: when is Crisp the right choice?
Crisp fits if you need co-browsing (MagicBrowse), if an AI agent in many languages is central, or if your team is large enough that the workspace plans with many included seats get cheaper — Essentials includes 10 seats for €95 a month.
SilentChat fits if you want an affordable start with a small team, want the application and AI to run in Germany, or need white-label already on the Professional plan.
