Last updated: September 9, 2026
Your Knowledge Base can be provided as a public Help Center that visitors can use without chat.
Public endpoints
The following endpoints are available without authentication:
| Endpoint | Description |
|---|---|
/api/v1/public/kb/categories | All visible categories |
/api/v1/public/kb/articles/:slug | Single article by slug |
/api/v1/public/kb/search?q=... | Full-text search in articles |
Search
The public search searches:
- Titles of articles
- Content of articles
- Excerpts
Only published articles in visible categories are found.
Article URLs
Each article has a slug (URL-friendly name) that is automatically generated from the title:
- Title: "Wie richte ich mein Widget ein?"
- Slug:
wie-richte-ich-mein-widget-ein
SEO
For public articles, we recommend:
- Maintain meta title (used as
<title>) - Maintain meta description (used for
<meta name="description">) - Use structured headings (H1, H2, H3) in the content
- Descriptive slugs — the auto-slug is usually good but can be manually adjusted
Feedback Widget
On every public article, visitors can provide feedback:
- "Was this article helpful?" — Yes/No + optional comment
- The feedback appears under Knowledge Base → Analytics → Feedback
Integration in Chat Widget
The AI bot automatically links to relevant KB articles when "Show sources" is activated in the AI configuration. Visitors can click directly from the chat to the article.
