Manage contacts

Contacts are a CRM-like feature — they store structured customer data independent of visitor sessions.
Create a contact
Contacts → "New Contact" — Email (required), Name, Phone, Company, Notes, Tags.
Link to visitor
A contact can be linked to a Visitor. This happens automatically when a visitor provides their email via the pre-chat form, or manually via the contact profile.
Tags
Contacts can be organized with Tags (e.g., "VIP", "Enterprise", "Trial"). Tags are freely definable and can also be used as a condition in Segments.
Metadata
In addition to the standard fields, you can store arbitrary Metadata (key-value pairs) on the contact.
