Visitor tracking

SilentChat automatically recognizes website visitors through browser fingerprinting and session tokens.
How Visitors Are Identified
On the first visit, a Visitor is created with a unique ID. On subsequent visits, the visitor is recognized again through the fingerprint.
Session Data
Each session captures:

| Referrer | Where the visitor came from |
| UTM Parameters | Campaign tracking (source, medium, campaign) |
| Country & Language | Detected from the browser |
| Device | Desktop, mobile, or tablet |
| Pages | Visited URLs with timestamps |
Pageview Tracking
Each page change is recorded as a Pageview (URL + time). This allows you to see the visitor's path before and during the chat.
Privacy
- IPs are hashed, not stored in plain text
- Visitor tracking can be disabled via the widget (
enable_visitor_tracking) - Cookie consent can be configured in the widget
- Data can be removed via GDPR export/deletion
