Referral program
What it is
With the referral program you can recommend SilentChat to others and get a reward once the advertisement qualifies.
You can find your personal code under Billing → Referrals. The code is generated once and is valid indefinitely — you can share it as often as you want.
How the code works
You either share:
- the code directly (e.g.
SC-abc123, which is entered in the optional „Referral Code" field during registration), or - the share link
https://app.silentchat.de/register?ref=YOUR-CODE, which automatically fills in the field.
When calling a marketing page with a ?ref= parameter, the code is stored
in a cookie for 30 days — the advertisement does not expire immediately if
the prospect first visits the pricing page.
When an advertisement qualifies
An advertisement changes from Redeemed to Qualified as soon as the configured condition is met — usually the first paid invoice of the referred user. The exact trigger condition is displayed at the top of the referral page.
Until the advertisement qualifies, it runs as Redeemed. If the referred user does not qualify within the deadline (default: 90 days), the advertisement expires as Expired.
Where the reward lands
Once qualified, the reward is automatically credited via Stripe:
- Credit — as customer credit, which is automatically deducted from your next invoice (visible in the invoice item „Referral Credit").
- Coupon — the configured Stripe coupon is applied to your active subscription.
- Trial extension — your trial is extended by the configured days (only if your account is still in the trial period).
You receive an email at every step — code redeemed, advertisement qualified, reward credited. The emails can be unsubscribed in your account settings.
Status Lifecycle

| Redeemed | The code was used in a registration, but has not yet qualified. |
| Review | Anti-abuse check is running — the admin decides. |
| Qualified | The condition is met, the reward will be credited in the next few hours. |
| Rewarded | The reward has been credited to your Stripe account. |
| Expired | The deadline has passed without qualification. |
| Cancelled | Advertisement was reversed (e.g. because the referred user cancelled). |
Issues
If you expect an advertisement to qualify but it still shows „Redeemed": wait a day — the background job runs hourly. If it remains on Redeemed after 24 h, contact support and provide your code + the approximate entry time.
