Domains & Allowlisting

Each widget can be restricted to specific domains. Only verified domains can load the widget.

Add Domain

1. Go to Settings → Widgets → [Your Widget] → Domains
2. Click "Add Domain"
3. Enter the domain (e.g. www.example.com or shop.example.com)

Important: Specify the exact domain where the widget should run. example.com and www.example.com are different domains.

DNS Verification

After adding, you need to verify the domain:

1. You will receive a verification code (e.g. sc-verify=abc123...)
2. Add a DNS TXT record:
   • Type: TXT
   • Name/Host: _silentchat-verify (or _silentchat-verify.www for subdomains)
   • Value: The displayed verification code
3. Click "Verify"
4. If verification fails, wait up to 24 hours (DNS propagation)

Domain Status

Local Development

No domain verification is required for local development (localhost). The widget works on localhost without restrictions.

Remove Domain

Under Domains, you can delete domains no longer needed. The widget will then no longer load on that domain.
