OAuth / Google sign-in

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Administration → Settings → OAuth

Enable sign-in via a Google account — for all users of the installation.

Order: configure first, then enable

  1. Enter Client ID and Client Secret from the Google Cloud Console and save.
  2. Only then set the OAuth Status switch to active.

As long as the credentials are missing, the page explicitly states this ("Configure Client ID and Client Secret below before enabling OAuth") — and this is to be taken literally: An active OAuth sign-in without valid credentials leads the user to a Google error page, not back to us.

Redirect URL

The page shows the Redirect URL, which must be stored in the Google Cloud Console as Authorized redirect URI. It must match character by character — a missing or extra / at the end is enough for Google to reject the sign-in.

Setup Instructions

The page contains a step-by-step guide for the Google Cloud Console. It guides you through project creation, OAuth consent screen, and the generation of the credentials.

Disable

The switch takes effect immediately. Users who could only sign in via Google will no longer be able to access the system afterward — so ensure they have a password or another way to access before disabling.
