Test phase management
Administration → Test Phases
The List
Each test phase with client, rate, start and end. Filterable by status:
- Active — running
- Expired — deadline passed, not converted
- Converted — the client has purchased
- Revoked — manually terminated
Extend and Revoke
Extend adds additional days to the end. The original end date remains visible in the row (originally …) so that an extension remains traceable.
Revoke terminates the test phase immediately. The reason is voluntary but should be included — it is the only explanation later.
The Settings Below
These four switches control what happens during a self-registration:
| Field | Effect |
|---|---|
| Default Plan for Trials | Which rate is assigned upon signup. "Auto" takes the default rate, otherwise the cheapest non-free rate. |
| Trial Duration (Days) | Length of the test phase. |
| Max. Trials per Day | Abuse cap. 0 = unlimited. If the number is exceeded, the new client is locked and must pay. |
| Self-Service Trials Active | If the switch is off, new clients are immediately locked and must purchase via Stripe. |
⚠️ The daily cap is a known pitfall. If reached, new registrations fail with a message that looks like an error — but it is the lockout, which was intended exactly like this. So first check here before troubleshooting.
Win-Back Voucher
If a voucher is stored here, a canceling customer receives a discount offer in the cancellation dialog. Empty = no offer.
